The Studio
A small studiothat designsfor real life.
We are an interior design practice working across Singapore homes — deliberately small, so the people who listen to your brief are the people who draw it, specify it and walk the site.
How This Studio Works
Good homes are designed around the life inside them — the rest is decoration.
Every project starts the same way: with listening. Before we talk about styles, palettes or showflat references, we spend the first conversations on how your home actually runs. Where shoes pile up, whether anyone works from home, how often you host, which room nobody uses and why. Those answers shape the brief far more than any mood board does.
Then we plan before we style. Layout options are tested on plan against circulation, storage and light — with the trade-offs explained plainly — because moving a wall on paper costs nothing and moving it twice costs plenty. Electrical points, lighting positions and storage volumes are settled early, so later decisions become refinements rather than rework.
Materials are specified for Singapore’s climate, not for a photograph. Humidity, direct sun and constant daily use will expose a poor surface choice within two years. We select laminates, veneers, stones and textiles for how they age in your home’s actual light and orientation — and we put samples in front of you on site before anything is fabricated.
And we treat budgets as facts, not negotiation tactics. A line-item quotation mapped to the drawing set means variations stay exceptions rather than surprises. If a scope and a budget do not fit together, we say so at the start, while there is still time to adjust either one.

How We Work
Three principles, applied on every project.
They are unglamorous by design. They exist because they prevent the expensive problems.
01
Listen before drawing
The first meetings are about your routines, not our portfolio. How mornings run, where clutter gathers, which rooms go unused — that is the brief. The drawings come after the questions.
02
Plan the space before styling it
Circulation, storage volume, light and proportion decide whether a home works day to day. We resolve those on plan first, so colours and furniture finish a sound layout rather than disguise a weak one.
03
Specify for Singapore, not for showflats
Humidity, strong sun and daily hard use are the real test of any material here. We choose surfaces for how they age in this climate and your home's orientation — not just how they photograph on day one.
Transparency
What we will do, and what we won’t.
Trust in renovation is built on documentation and plain speech, not superlatives. Here is our position in writing.
You can expect us to
- Tell you plainly what a realistic budget range is for your scope — before you commit to design fees.
- Document scope, inclusions and exclusions in writing at every stage, from concept to handover.
- Explain every variation with its cost and reason before it happens, not after.
- Flag when a wish list and a budget cannot both be met, and give you honest options either way.
You will never find us
- Inflate a quotation to fund discounts later, or quote low to win the job and recover it through variations.
- Invent credentials, awards or reviews. What you read on this site is what we can stand behind today.
- Promise timelines we have not planned around HDB permit windows, MCST approvals and material lead times.
- Push carpentry you do not need. Storage is quantified against what you actually own.
Team bios and professional credentials appear on this page only once verified — we do not publish invented names, titles or qualifications.

Bring us the home, and the way you live in it.
A consultation costs nothing but an hour of honesty — yours and ours — about the space, the scope and the budget.
