The Process

Seven stages,zero mysteries.

Every renovation follows the same documented sequence. You always know which stage you are in, what happens next, and what it costs before it happens.

01

Consultation

A conversation about how you live, what you own, and what the space must do — before any talk of styles or budgets.

  • We start with your routines: mornings, mealtimes, work-from-home days, hosting, storage pressure points.
  • We walk through your floor plan together and flag structural, lighting and ventilation considerations early.
  • You leave with a clear picture of scope, realistic timeline expectations, and an honest view of budget range for the scope you have in mind.

02

Space Planning

Layout options tested against daily life — circulation, storage, light and proportion resolved on plan before aesthetics.

  • Two to three layout directions, each with trade-offs explained plainly.
  • Storage is quantified, not guessed: linear metres of carpentry mapped to what you actually own.
  • Electrical and lighting positions are planned at this stage, so later changes are refinements rather than rework.

03

Concept Design

A coherent material and mood direction for the whole home, presented as palettes, references and 3D views.

  • Material palettes built around durability and light — how surfaces age in Singapore's humidity and your home's orientation.
  • 3D visualisations of key spaces so decisions are made against something concrete.
  • One consolidated revision round keeps momentum and protects the timeline.

04

Design Development

Every joinery piece, tile line and light position drawn and specified — the drawing set the works will actually follow.

  • Detailed carpentry drawings: internal fittings, dimensions, finishes.
  • Full electrical and plumbing layouts coordinated with the design.
  • A line-item quotation mapped to the drawings, so variations later are exceptions rather than surprises.

05

Material & Carpentry Detailing

Samples reviewed in your home's actual light; joinery details resolved with the workshop before fabrication.

  • Physical samples of laminates, veneers, stones and textiles reviewed on site.
  • Carpentry shop drawings checked against site measurements before production.
  • Lead times for stones, fittings and imported items confirmed and sequenced.

06

Renovation Coordination

Works supervised against the drawing set, with structured site updates and quality checks at every trade handover.

  • Permits and building-management submissions prepared and tracked.
  • Scheduled site checks at demolition, tiling, carpentry and painting milestones.
  • A single point of contact coordinating all trades, with written progress updates.

07

Styling & Handover

The final ten percent that makes a home feel resolved: styling, defect rectification, and a proper handover.

  • Styling with textiles, art and objects selected to the concept.
  • A joint defect inspection with a documented rectification list.
  • Care guides for your surfaces and joinery, plus warranty documentation.

Timeline Expectations

How long a renovation actually takes.

Honest numbers, so you can plan around them. For a typical HDB or condominium home, expect roughly 8–12 weeks of works on site after the design is fully resolved — and 4–8 weeks of design phase before that, covering layout development, concept, detailing and quotation. Landed properties generally take longer on both counts, driven by scope and approvals.

Two things move every schedule more than any contractor can: permit windows and material lead times. HDB sets the permitted hours and rules for renovation works in flats, and building management approvals add their own lead time in condos. We plan around both openly rather than promising dates we cannot hold.
